Confirmed! Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Are Engaged
Angelina Jolie wasn't flaunting an engagement ring when she walked the red carpet at the Oscars in February (that would have drawn attention away from her very exposed right leg) -- but she's wearing one now.

Petrino, mistress exchanged 100s of calls, texts
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) ? Former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino went out of his way to refer to his relationship with Jessica Dorrell in the past tense when he was put on paid leave.
Cellphone records show the two remained in near-daily contact before and after the motorcycle accident that led to his firing.
Petrino and Dorrell exchanged more than 4,300 text messages and nearly 300 phone calls over the past seven months ? on game days, before dawn and even as the police report that hastened his downfall was being released to the public, according to a review of his business cellphone records by The Associated Press.
The messages, among some 300 pages of records released Wednesday under a Freedom of Information Act request, appear to include picture and video files, though there was no way to verify the content. But the records clearly show a married father of four in frequent contact with Dorrell, a 25-year-old former Razorbacks volleyball player.
Petrino was fired Tuesday night for failing to disclose his relationship with Dorrell, whom he hired last month without disclosing his conflict of interest or the fact he had once paid her $20,000.
Athletic director Jeff Long said he had determined their relationship had been ongoing for a "significant" amount of time, but he did not say for how long.
The phone records show that Petrino remained in close contact with Dorrell following the April 1 motorcycle accident in which Petrino suffered four broken ribs, a cracked neck vertebra and scrapes and bruises
That day, Petrino and Dorrell went for a motorcycle ride on a two-lane highway southeast of Fayetteville and skidded off the road. Petrino and Dorrell talked for 16 minutes earlier that day before the crash at 6:45 p.m., and they also had a 22-minute conversation the following day ? while Petrino was apparently still in the hospital recovering.
Petrino's accident report was disclosed by state police on April 5, and the two talked 11 times that day. That included a pair of 2-minute calls around 3:30 p.m., when police were releasing the report that for the first time exposed her presence at the accident.
Later that evening, as questions swirled about his future at Arkansas, Petrino exchanged four calls with his agent, Russ Campbell, totaling 10 minutes.
The cellphone records show Petrino and Dorrell were in contact at least as far back as Sept. 12. The university provided nearly seven months of Petrino's business cellphone records, and that is the first date listed.
Among the findings:
Petrino exchanged 91 texts with Dorrell on Sept. 13 and 84 texts with her over five hours on Oct. 28, the day before a game at Vanderbilt.
On Oct. 17, the two swapped 73 text messages, and on four days in a row in the week before a loss to eventual national champion Alabama, Petrino called Dorrell early ? at 5:52 a.m., 6:35 a.m., 5:49 a.m. and 7:55 a.m.
The day Arkansas beat Troy, the two exchanged 70 texts. They exchanged 26 texts the day Arkansas beat Mississippi State and four following the Razorbacks' loss to LSU on Nov. 25.
Dorrell sent Petrino a text during Arkansas' Cotton Bowl win over Kansas State, though the coach didn't reply until the following day.
The 51-year-old Petrino was earning an average annual salary of $3.5 million and he had built Arkansas into a national power, including a 21-5 record over the past two seasons and a No. 5 ranking in last season's final AP poll. He was expected to lead the Hogs on a national title run next season, but his career was effectively ended the day of the accident.
Petrino didn't disclose Dorrell's presence on the ride to Long until 20 minutes before the police report was released to the public. The records show Petrino's six-minute call to Long at 3:11 p.m., during which the coach first told Long of his inappropriate relationship with Dorrell and her presence at the accident. He was on the phone with her a few minutes later.
Petrino has issued a lengthy apology and said he was focused on trying to make amends to his family.
Long, meanwhile, is now a full day into his search for a new coach. Late Wednesday, he tweeted: "At this time I have not spoken to anyone about the Head Coaching position."
Former Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett, now with the New England Patriots, tweeted his support for Garrick McGee. The former Razorbacks offensive coordinator was hired as the head coach at UAB in December after four years in Fayetteville.
"GM only coach Ark should look at if they wanna win now," Mallett wrote. "I'm talkin about Garrick McGee. He can win at Arkansas."
Mallett made clear he was not referring to Gus Malzahn, the former offensive coordinator at Arkansas, Tulsa and Auburn who took the head coaching job at Arkansas State in December.
"That would be a mistake," Mallett tweeted.

92% Beauty and the Beast
All Critics (84) | Top Critics (24) | Fresh (84) | Rotten (7) | DVD (36)
The greatest animated film ever made and one of the screen's great musicals hardly needs this (3D) sort of sprucing up.
What you gain in an extra, faked dimension you lose in lively, genuine beauty.
The set pieces are narcotically pleasing, especially the Busby Berkeley-style dancing-kitchenware spectacular, "Be Our Guest," and the romantic ballroom centerpiece that brings Beauty and her Beast together.
The 3-D pops out to enhance the drama or energy of scenes in which settings are large and integral to the action.
Some youthful memories are better not revisited, but this definitely isn't one of them. Sometimes you can go home again.
It is a surprise, in a time of sequels and retreads, that the new film is so fresh and altogether triumphant in its own right.
I admit it: I wrote this more than 20 years ago. But, like " Beauty and the Beast" itself, I think it stands the test of time.
Disney, please understand ... what people are actually showing up for ... they just want to see classic Disney on the big screen. The 3D is incidental.
Disney's gorgeous 1991 animated version of the classic fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast" gets the same 3D treatment that was recently given to "The Lion King."
Watching this in a theater definitely makes it feel less like a "cartoon" and more like a significant film. Cogsworth poking Le Fou in the butt with a sword aside.
One of the brightest jewels in Disney's crown, Beauty and the Beast's 3D reissue takes nothing away and makes the film's brilliance even easier to appreciate; the movie is more beautiful and timeless than it ever was.
Beauty and the Beast is just as enchanting 20 years after its initial release.
The apex of an art form, a justly celebrated classic, and the best animated movie of any sort ever put on screen at any time.
The lines have begun to show in Belle's tale, which remains enjoyable but feels more like a quaint artifact than the masterpiece it once was declared to be.
Both TANGLED EVER AFTER and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST are sure to enthrall audiences everywhere, even if the 3D doesn't really add much of anything to this animated classic.
A serviceable version of a classic fairy tale minus that crucial touch of magic.
And it is a joy to revisit the timeless pleasures of traditional Disney storytelling, with no attempts to add sizzle from celebrity voice talent or radio-friendly pop songs.
3D doesn't downplay the inherent artistry of the effort, but it doesn't enhance anything outside of ticket prices.
Beauty and the Beast looks beautiful and is sure to entertain, but this experience is superfluous at best-it was already a three-dimensional story long before these new technics.
Better remembered than seen, Beauty and the Beast has been treated unkindly not just by the years that have passed since it was released to enormous acclaim in 1991, but by a faddish 3D conversion.

Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie: A Timeline Of Their Love
We take a look back at the seven-year relationship between two of the world's biggest movie stars.

That noise you just heard was the heads of celebrity tabloid editors' heads exploding in unison at the news that Brad Pitt finally put a ring on it and proposed to Angelina Jolie.
Rumors of an engagement began to swirl when Jolie was spotted at a private viewing at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese galleries on Wednesday rocking quite a sparkler on her ring finger. Pitt's manager Cynthia Pett-Dante confirmed the engagement to People, saying, "It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy."
The pair have been together for seven years and have six children. Their love story has been documented like crazy by the tabloids, but in honor of their long-overdue engagement, we decided to take a look back at the highlights of their relationship to show you how they got from meeting on a movie set to preparing to walk down the aisle.
» Summer 2004: Pitt and Jolie meet on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." Rumors of an on-set romance begin almost immediately, though both deny the allegations, saying they are just friends.
» January 2005: Pitt and then-wife Jennifer Aniston announce that they have decided to formally separate after nearly five years of marriage and more than seven years together.
» March 2005: Aniston files for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences."
» April 2005: Paparazzi photos of Pitt, Jolie and her adopted son Maddox on a beach in Kenya surface, seeming to confirm long-standing rumors that the pair are a romantic item.
» July 2005: Pitt and Jolie pose for a photo shoot for W magazine entitled "Domestic Bliss," portraying them as a family with several children. Though rumors that they were a serious item had reached a fever pitch, they continued to refuse to confirm anything. Following the paparazzi images of the couple together in Kenya, many considered the shoot a major affront to Aniston, as her divorce from Pitt had not yet been finalized.
» July 6, 2005: Jolie adopts her second child, 6-month-old daughter Zahara Marley, from an orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
» October 2, 2005: Pitt and Aniston's divorce is finalized by the Los Angeles Superior Court.
» January 11, 2006: Jolie confirms to People that she is pregnant with her first child with Pitt.
» January 19, 2006: A judge grants Jolie's request to legally change the last names of her adopted children from Jolie to Jolie-Pitt. Pitt's legal adoption of both Maddox and Zahara was granted soon after.
» May 27, 2006: Jolie gives birth to the couple's first biological child, daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, in Swakopmund, Namibia. Shiloh's first pictures were sold exclusively to People and OK for $4.1 million and $3.5 million, respectively, and all of the cash was donated to charities benefiting African children.
» October 2006: Voicing his support for same-sex couples seeking equal marriage rights, Pitt tells Esquire magazine that he and Jolie would marry "when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."
» March 15, 2007: Jolie adopts 3-year-old Pax Thien from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Because Vietnam's adoption regulations do not allow unmarried couples to co-adopt, Jolie adopted Pax as a single parent, but filed a request to legally change her son's surname from Jolie to Jolie-Pitt a month later.
» May 2008: After much speculation, while promoting "Kung Fu Panda" at the Cannes Film Festival, Jolie confirms that she and Pitt are expecting twins.
» July 12, 2008: Jolie gives birth to a son, Knox Léon, and a daughter, Vivienne Marcheline, in Nice, France. As they did following Shiloh's birth, Pitt and Jolie sold the rights for the first images of the twins jointly to People and Hello! for $14 million (the most expensive celebrity pictures ever taken) with proceeds going to their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
» October 15, 2008: Jolie ignites controversy after telling The New York Times that she is excited for her children to see "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" because "not a lot of people get to see a movie where their parents fell in love." Both Pitt and Jolie had long maintained that while there was chemistry on the set of "Smith," Pitt did not cheat on Aniston during production and began his relationship with Jolie after they'd separated.
» November 2008: In an interview with Vogue, Jennifer Aniston says that Jolie's comment to the NYT that she and Pitt fell in love on the set of "Smith" was "uncool." "I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss," Aniston said. "That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool."
» July 5, 2011: Praising New York on passing marriage equality legislation, Pitt reaffirmed to People that he and Jolie will not marry until all Americans are afforded marriage rights.
» September 2011: Pitt finds himself embroiled in controversy after telling Parade, "I wasn't living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't." This was, as usual, scooped up by the tabloids as if he were hurling an insult at Aniston, and much of his "Moneyball" press tour was spent explaining that he was simply at a bad place in his life near the end of his marriage and that his relationship with Jolie reinvigorated him.
» December 2011: Promoting her directorial debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey," Jolie tells Christiane Amanpour that her kids were pressing her to get married. "The kids asked me the other day, and I asked them if it was just because they wanted to have a 'big cake,' " Jolie said. "They see movies that have the people getting married in the movies ... you know, the happily ever after. Shrek and Fiona are married. ... We've explained to them that our commitment when we decided to start a family was the greatest commitment you could possibly have. Once you have six children, you're committed."
» January 2012: Pitt co-signed Jolie's statement that their children were pushing them down the aisle. "We'd actually like to," he told The Hollywood Reporter of marrying Jolie, "and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it till everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment."
Those spoiled Jolie-Pitts, always getting what they want!
