Extend Your Android Device Battery Life By Removing Facebook App
Just simply disable background notifications of facebook. And if you rooted your Android phone (don't know why one wouldn't) disable it from automatically starting up upon certain events(install autostarts). That way it's only running when you want to view it. Recommending to use the mobile website is like recommending you smash your head with a hammer, it's horrendous.
