ATTLEBORO, Mass. ? Some highlights of search warrants released in the case against former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, who has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of his friend Odin Lloyd of Boston. Lloyd's body was found June 17.
_ FLORIDA SEARCH WARRANTS: Florida police say in the documents that Ernest Wallace, who has pleaded not guilty to an accessory to murder charge, told Carlos Ortiz, a third man held in the case on a gun charge, that Hernandez shot Lloyd. The documents also say police in Bristol, Conn., found a car rented in Hernandez's name being sought in connection with a 2012 double killing in Boston. Police say the three men were with Lloyd the night he died. Florida authorities searched the Miramar, Fla., home of Wallace's mother after he turned himself in on an arrest warrant.
_ MASSACHUSETTS SEARCH WARRANTS: Eight search warrants sought information from Hernandez's cell phones; the video surveillance system from his North Attleborough home; biological evidence in the house and grounds; the contents of his Patriots' locker; firearms, ammunition and related documents; and evidence in three cars connected to Hernandez: a 2012 Nissan Altima, a 2013 Chrysler, and a 2005 Hummer. The related documents cover at least 156 pages.
_ ENCOUNTER WITH POLICE: Police said Hernandez approached officers he noticed parked outside his home the night of June 17. They said he answered their questions about an SUV he said he rented for Lloyd, then became "argumentative" and locked the door behind him. When he returned with his attorney's business card, Hernandez was told by police they were conducting a death investigation. Police said he did not ask who had died. He later agreed to be questioned at the police station.
_ HERNANDEZ'S GIRLFRIEND: Police said Hernandez's girlfriend, Shayanna Jenkins, burst into tears when they told her Lloyd was dead. She told them she had last seen him two days earlier, June 15. She said she and Hernandez returned home early from a Father's Day dinner June 16, and Hernandez later went out again but she didn't know who he was with. Police said Hernandez then called her cellphone and stopped her from talking without a lawyer.
_ ITEMS SEIZED: Police said they seized from Hernandez's home a rifle, rifle ammunition, ammunition for a .22 caliber gun, phones, video surveillance equipment, several iPads and clothing. The gun used to kill Lloyd hasn't been found. Police also looked through the contents of his Patriots locker, which had been cleared out by the team.
_ RENTAL CAR: Police said an Enterprise Rental car manager in North Attleborough said Hernandez, a frequent customer, returned a 2012 Nissan Altima around 5:30 p.m. on June 17. He apologized for damage to the driver's door, window and side mirror, but said he didn't know how it happened. Police found fingerprints in the car that included the victim's.
